A thematic week "Complex analysis and noncommutative functions"

will be taking place in Toulouse between 3 and 7 October 2016 in the context of the program in analysis http://www.cimi.univ-toulouse.fr/analysis/en/home-analysis funded by LabEx CIMI. It will focus on various aspects of function-theoretic methods in modern analysis, with an emphasis on noncommutative function theory, its applications in operator algebras, free probability, quantum information and control theory.

The thematic week will feature talks by Hari Bercovici, Yoann Dabrowski, Kenneth R. Davidson, William J. Helton, Dmitry Kaliuzhnyi-Verbovetskyi, Tobias Mai, Ion Nechita and Mihai V. Popa, together with a 5-hour minicourse on noncommutative function theory by Victor Vinnikov.
